I joined Weight Watchers again because some of the weight I originally lost was creeping back on. If you haven’t heard from the millions of commercials, Weight Watchers has changed their point system to PointsPlus. I started almost two weeks ago and I love the new plan. Food is worth more points, but you also get more points. PointsPlus are calculated with a calculator now and you input the carbohydrates, fat, fiber, and protein. On the old plan I would often go over my points 1-2 points a night, but on the new plan I haven’t gone over my plan yet. The best part is that I haven’t been hungry and I lost 4.4 lbs my first week! I know- it’s most likely water weight your first couple of weeks, but it was still great results to see and keep me going!
Fruit is now considered 0 points (within reason) on the new plan which is great for me because I love fruit. I find myself snacking on fruit now instead of pretzels and granola bars like I use to. I will let you know my progress, and hopefully I will be sharing a lot of recipes for healthy, filling foods in the next few months. If you have been thinking about joining and haven’t yet because you liked the old program, you should definitely try it out! It gave me the boost I needed to get the scale moving the other way.
