At a surprise birthday party for Husband M’s aunt a few weeks ago, I got into a conversation with someone about their favorite cookbooks. I started thinking today about which cookbooks I own and use the most. Here’s my list:
–How to Cook Everything (Mark Bittman)
–Bon Appetit Fast Easy Fresh (Barbara Fairchild)
–Better Homes & Gardens New Cookbook (BH&G)
–The Good Housekeeping Cookbook (Susan Westmoreland)
–Mad Hungry: Feeding Men & Boys (Lucinda Scala Quinn)
–Everyday Italian and Everyday Pasta (Giada De Laurentiis)
–Cooking Light Annual Recipes– for the past 5 years (editors of Cooking Light magazine)
–Spice: Flavors of the Eastern Mediterranean (Ana Sortun)
–The Pioneer Woman Cooks: Recipes from an Accidental Country Girl (Ree Drummond)
–Dinosaur Bar-B-Que: An American Roadhouse (John Stage and Nancy Radke)
I also cook a lot from magazines, namely Cooking Light, Martha Stewart Everyday Food, and Martha Stewart Living. Periodically, I’ll cook from recipes I find online- either through foodnetwork.com or blogs (some good ones that I like are Pioneer Woman or The Kitchn.)
What are some of your favorite sources for recipes?
